Description: Eclypse takes the form of an accordion book, a structure that unfolds in sequence rather than opening flat Its pages carry digital prints of light drawings, with silver leaf in the back, condensed into a small, intimate, handheld object. The light drawings themselves originate entirely from physical sources: light and shadow captured as they reflect off real objects, not generated or composited digitally. The only digital intervention is a reversal of the light values and a heightening of contrast, inverting what was captured so shadow reads as light and light reads as shadow. What looks abstract or manipulated is, in fact, a document of something physically observed. An eclipse is a moment of partial obscuring, light interrupted and then restored. Read against the accordion form and the inverted images inside it, the piece stages that interruption twice: once in the folding structure that conceals and reveals its pages, and once in the images themselves, where light and shadow have traded places.
